Pointing out the obvious- it now takes nearly double the amount of Big Mac's, to buy the same amount of oil in 2001. I think I'm going to switch to Veg. Oil.~

Watch California. The next leg down in real estate, as the collapse disease moves out of the Central Valley and finally makes its way into the prime areas, should finally trigger full on rage in the upper middle class. My view is that it will get heli-dropped on top of rising food and fuel costs to boot.

G

Be careful - if you start comparing inflation-adjusted costs of healthcare, university education, oil, and Big Macs, the middle class might just riot.

The price of a Big Mac where? ... Did you average the price of oil for a region and price it against the cost of the Big Mac in that region in the local currency ... for all regions, globally?
